The Everest Base Camp trek, a very well known mountain trek, starts at the upper Phakding and follows the Dudh Kosi valley which climbs up to the Sherpa capital of Namche, a bustling bazaar that’s a junction for trekkers, the local Sherpa and expeditions.
All along this part of the trail, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia, and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on this portion of the trek make it the kind of walk you will remember for a long, long time.
Mount Everest Base Camp is the most popular destination for trekkers in Nepal. Its popularity has grown since the first expeditions to the Nepalese side of Everest in the 1950s. The trek takes off from Lukla. First, take a 40-minute morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and we land its tiny at Lukla Airstrip then our trek start to Khumbu Region. The trek follows the Dudh Kosi valley route with an ascent up to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. From Namche, you traverse along a high path from where you have the first good view of Everest. Head towards Thyangboche Monastery located on top of a mountain ridge and then descend the Imja Khola and continue to the villages of Pangboche and Pheriche. After that, arrive at the Khumbu Glacier. The trek through the glacier takes you first to Lobuche and then to Gorak Shep, where you finally reach your destination, Everest Base Camp at the foot of the Khumbu ice falls.
Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel, inclusive of breakfast.
Day 02: Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding
Today early in the morning, drive about 15 minutes to Tribhuwan International Airport. After a 30 minute scenic flight to Lukla (2804 meters.), begin your trek to Phakding (2610 meters) - 3 hours easy walking. Overnight at guest house, inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3535 meters). Overnight at guest house, inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 04: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar.
This is a day for an acclimatization. Have a fine walk around the valley to adjust to the thin air. Namche Bazaar is known as the gateway of the Everest. you can go to a museum too on the same day. There, see the traditional custom of Sherpa people. Besides, a fine view of the Everest and other mountains can be viewed from this place. Overnight at guest house, inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 05: Trek to Tengboche (3850 meters).
By reaching Tengboche, visit a monastery known as Tengboche monastery. Then you will be taken to observe the prayer ceremony whether in the evening or morning. Overnight at guesthouse, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4350 meters). Overnight at guesthouse, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 07: Acclimatization day
Today, enjoy another day for acclimatization. Have a trip to Chhukung valley, then return to Dingboche in the evening. Go to Chhukung Ri (5546 meters) from there, observe the fifth highest mountain, Makalu. Overnight at guesthouse, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (4950 meters). Overnight at guesthouse, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 09: Trek to Everest Base camp (5400 meters.) and return to Gorakshep (5160 meters). Overnight at guesthouse, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 10: Hiking to Kalapathar (5545 meters), then trek to Pheriche
The day starts with a hike up to Kalapathar (5545 meters), an excellent viewpoint to observe Mount Everest and innumerable spectacular mountains views. Then trek back to Pheriche (4280 meters). Overnight at guesthouse, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 11: Trek back to Namche Bazar Overnight at a guesthouse, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 12: Trek to Lukla. Overnight at guesthouse, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 13: After breakfast, fly back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel, inclusive of breakfast.
Day 14: Day at leisure. It's also a spare day just in case of flight delay in Lukla. Overnight at hotel, inclusive of breakfast.
Day 15: Departure. After breakfast, your guide will drop you off at the airport.
Note:
The weather is unpredictable in Lukla even in the best season of October and November. The chances are high to get flight delays or cancellations due to the bad weather. Thus, it is always recommended to allocate a few more spare days before you fly back home.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• In some circumstances internal flights to/from Lukla are delayed by a few hours or canceled for a day or even many days because of bad weather. This happens very rarely, but it could happen even in the best trekking season. Hence, it is always recommended for you to add supplement night/s in Kathmandu after your trek if possible (just in case). If everything runs smoothly, you can enjoy other activities like sightseeing, rafting, wildlife activities, shopping or as you wish in those additional days. However, in the event of these weather delays, if you a want a helicopter rescue in the event of unavoidable flight cancellations to/from Lukla - the tour operator can organize this. Helicopters hereabouts charge around $3000 - $4000 (Lukla - Kathmandu or vice versa) and it can take up to 6 persons per flight.

You must present either proof of full vaccination, proof of a Covid-19 infection in the past 3 months, or a negative test taken no more than 24 hours before the activity starts
All participants 12 and older must present physical or digital proof that they've been fully vaccinated with a FDA or WHO-approved vaccine administered at least 14 days before the performance date. Children between 5-11 years old must present proof that they've received at least one dose of a FDA or WHO-approved vaccine and be accompanied by a vaccinated adult meeting the theater's entry requirements. Guests whose last vaccine dose (excluding boosters) was fewer than 14 days before the performance date must also present either a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before the performance starts or a negative antigen test taken no more than 6 hours before the performance starts
Pickup from the airport upon your arrival and transfer you to the pre-arranged hotel in Kathmandu.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
