Discover the Moroccan Sahara on an affordable 3-day excursion from Marrakech and explore the magnificent landscapes of the Dades Gorge, the Kasbahs and Ouarzazate. Cross the dunes of Erg Chebbi on camelback and sleep in a desert camp under the stars.

Day 1: Marrakech - Aït-ben-Haddou - Dadès
Begin your journey through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through Berber villages to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Aït-ben-Haddou. This village is famous for its kasbah and fortified village, and has been the setting for famous Hollywood epics and magazine photo shoots.
After some free time, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant and continue on to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara. Continue on to Boumalne-Dadès, admiring the panoramic road along the Dades Valley, where you can dine and rest for the night at the Kasbah Amazigh or Hotel Chems.

Day 2: Tinghir - Todgha Gorges - Merzouga
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and head for Tinghir and its spectacular Todgha Gorge, stopping to enjoy some free time to explore the canyons. Lunch in a local café and continue to Merzouga to meet your camel caravan.
Discover the dunes of Erg Chebbi on camelback and admire the sunset. Arrive at your camp before nightfall and enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner under the stars. Spend a pleasant evening in the company of nomads and learn how to play the tam-tam. Enjoy dinner and a restful night.

Day 3: Merzouga - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
After an early wake-up call to watch the sunrise before breakfast (optional), your driver will be waiting to pick you up for the transfer back to Marrakech. Stop halfway for lunch at a local restaurant. Return to your departure point or to Jemaa el-Fna around 20:00.
You can also book upgrades for the night in the Bedouin camp, including a night in a luxury desert camp with private luxury tent, en-suite shower, bathroom and 5-star facilities. This option must be reserved for each person wishing to take advantage of it.
