Day 1: Dubrovnik/Kotor (Croatia / Montenegro) – Budva (Montenegro) – Montenegrin Rivera
After experiencing the unique medieval town of Dubrovnik, be picked up from your hotel by a local representative and transfer to the border to meet your tour leader.
First, visit Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and wander through the maze of narrow, cobblestone streets before we drive towards Budva, famous for its beaches, gorgeous nature, and old characteristic buildings. Overnight near Montenegrin Riviera.
Day 2: Montenegrin Riviera – Mrizi i Zanave Agrotourism (Albania) – Prizren (Kosovo)
Cross the border towards Albania and later to Kosovo. Visit one of the best slow food agro-tourism farms in the Balkans.
Have free time to enjoy a traditional lunch or purchase fresh produce products before we continue towards Prizren, considered as the cultural capital of Kosovo. The view from the fortress on the hill above the town offers a great panorama of this astonishing town. Enjoy a free afternoon in Prizren. Overnight in Prizren.
Day 3: Prizren – Kruja (Albania) – Tirana
Return to Albania and head towards Kruja, a historical city symbol of the Albanian resistance against the expansion of the Ottoman Empire during the 15th century. Walk through the narrow streets and the wooden houses of Kruja’s Medieval Old Bazaar.
This is the best place to shop for souvenirs in Albania, from typical to more unique and handmade souvenirs such as rugs and jewelry.
Have free time to enjoy a traditional lunch, do some souvenir shopping, or admire the city. The next destination for today is Tirana, the capital of Albania. After arriving in the bustling capital of Tirana, have free time to explore the city and do not miss a visit at BUNKART, one of the most interesting museums in Tirana; Tirana castle and lively/vibrant Blloku Neighborhood. Overnight in Tirana.
Day 4: Local food tour of Tirana – Shkoder
Discover Tirana, the capital of Albania on a food and walking tour of the city, trying byrek, coffee, traditional lunch, and local Raki. In the afternoon, drive to Shkoder, situated in the north-western part of Albania where the oldest wall of the Shkodra castle dates from the 1st millennium BCE.
Visit Rozafa castle offering tremendous scenery of the lake and the three rivers melting all together in the Adriatic Sea. Most guests are surprised to learn that most of the Venetian masks are handmade and produced in Shkoder. The city’s favorable geographic position has always been an important trading mark through the centuries, making it possible for different civilizations to encounter. Overnight in Shkoder.
