Half day trip that includes a visit to the Tule Tree, the Zapotec Village of Teotitlán del Valle and culminates in a mezcal palenque, where we learn about its elaboration and taste it.
The Millenary Route is a half-day getaway that you can't miss. We will visit three emblematic attractions of the state of Oaxaca, starting the excursion with the famous and most notable "Tule Tree", cataloged as the thickest in the world, this ahuehuete or juniper tree is more than 2,000 years old and weighs approximately 630 tons. In addition, with a little imagination among the branches and bark of this majestic tree you can visualize different animals and silhouettes that have formed over the years, the tour guides will help us find them and tell us a little more about the history of this spectacular tree.
We will continue with the adventure entering a place full of colors, "Zapotec indigenous town of weavers", Teotitlán del Valle. Famous for making their rugs, bags and sarapes of sheep wool which are dyed with ancestral techniques with natural pigments, highlighting among them the use of the great cochineal. Enjoy their knowledge in each of the explanations of the marvelous process for the elaboration of the incomparable rugs, giving shape to their own designs and replicas of great painters.
To finish the tour with a good taste in your mouth with the typical drink of this beautiful state, the last stop will be in a Mezcal palenque. The Mezcal is a drink with recognition and origin from Oaxaca, certified by the "comercam" this drink is internationally recognized for its body, color and smell; it is worth mentioning that there are several presentations and flavors of mezcal, we will enjoy some of the different flavors offered, from the aged mezcal to its diverse and delicious mezcal creams, we will learn to taste it and learn about its elaboration, the maguey or agave is the plant from which mezcal is extracted. Accompanying this drink in private parties or patron saint celebrations is a tradition in the central valleys of Oaxaca. Because always for all bad, mezcal and for all good, too.
