Make your way to is impressive botanical garden and marvel at its impressive "Cosmovitral" (from the Spanish words “cosmo” meaning “universe” and “vitral” meaning “stained glass”). This garden was built in the middle of the past Century, occupying an Art Nouveau Building that was used as the local market “Mercado 16 de Septiembre”.
Inside, admire the monumental stained-glass wall decorated with glass mosaics representing the human race and the universe, all while you appreciate more than 400 species of plants from around the world.

Finally, head to San Mateo Atenco — where the community has become a very important commercial center thanks to its large production of footwear with roots linked to the Mexican Revolution.
