Description

Join this walk of our Gay History Experiences and discover amazing parks, monuments, buildings, the iconic Bellas Artes and Postal Palaces & the Historic Center’s famous Gay Bar Row.
In this Gay Side of History experience, you'll learn about our LGBTQ+ history at the 16th century city limits. We will be at the only openly LGBTQ+ monument and at the subway's gayest station. After learning of a gay German explorer, we will go across the rainbow crosswalk to learn of a gay poet killed by the fascists, of crimes against humanity, of a Mexican diplomat who saved thousands of Jews, Gays and Spanish from the Nazi, and of a gay artist.

We will go to the Inquisition's burning grounds, to where drugs were introduced to the LGBTQ+ community, and to the favorite cantina of a famous American gay writer where a local cocktail is included. The "anatomically wrong" monument to King Carlos IV will mark the entrance to Theater District before arriving at where the first Equal Marriage law was passed in Latin America next to the launching pad of gay singers and across the Asylum for Lesbian Women who were deemed mentally ill in the 18th century.

The biggest present from the gay community will line the way as you discover the famous "meeting point" & the "postal cruising grounds" before learning of a gay man in space. "Drag Queens' Paradise" and "Gay Bar Row" will be next with a couple of dozen LGBTQ+ venues of which we will visit some before ending at one of the most famous ones where a couple of beers will be offered.
