Description
Embark on a guided private tour around Marrakech and marvel at the colorful streets and stunning architecture. See the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and the Synagogue in Marrakesh, to name a few.
Due to its strategic position, Morocco has been inhabited since prehistoric times by several civilizations. When caravans were traveling to Europe, Marrakech served as a key junction for them. The city traded in slaves, spices, and plants. Since we are residents of Marrakech and are familiar with the entire city, we will take you to some of its lesser-known attractions and explain its turbulent past to you. Jews have been in Morocco for nearly 2000 years, where they have lived in areas known as Mellah. You will learn about the many architectural styles, including those of Spanish and European style buildings with balconies, throughout this trip.
You will travel through the neighborhood, take pictures, and visit the synagogue and Jewish cemetery (no visits on Saturday), which were both places of refuge for Jews and Moors who were persecuted in southern Spain in 1492 and at other times. You will get knowledge about Moroccan history and the history of the Jews in Marrakech. Visit a few more important locations.
