Description
Dive into a sensory celebration of diverse cuisines through interactive exhibits, realistic sculptures, and cultural insights.
Penang Wonderfood Museum presents a kitsch, kooky and in-depth look at the city’s unique food culture with larger-than-life displays of Malaysian dishes. Set within a 1940s colonial building in Georgetown, the museum is divided into three galleries - Info Zone, Wow Zone, and Educational Zone. All of the hyper-realistic models are handcrafted by the museum’s owner, Sean Lao who uses Japanese food replication techniques. The museum features over 100 exhibits of local dishes, ranging from street food to traditional dishes, presented in a realistic and interactive way. The exhibits are arranged in different sections, each showcasing a particular aspect of Penang's food culture.
