Day 1: Luang Prabang to Pakbeng
07:00–07:30 AM: Hotel pick-up in Luang Prabang for an early start.
08:00–08:30 AM: Depart from Bandon Pier. Enjoy sights of water buffalo, untouched jungle, peanut fields, and daily life along the Laotian riverbank.
05:00 PM: Arrive in Pakbeng.Overnight Stay: Pakbeng (Accommodation not included)
Day 2: Pakbeng to Huay Xai
08:30–09:00 AM: Depart from Pakbeng to Huay Xai.
09:00 AM: Begin your boat journey to Huay Xai.
06:00 PM: Arrive in Huay Xai.
End of service.
If you plan to continue to downtown Chiang Rai from the Chiang Khong border on the same day, the private taxi extra option is recommended.
If you choose the private taxi option, please provide the name of your hotel in Chiang Rai. We will verify if it is within our service area.

This transfer stop is at the Slow Boat Pier in Huay Xai.
After arriving at the Slow Boat Pier, you can reach the Laos immigration office by local transportation.

Shared taxi: 170 LAK per person
Private taxi: 350,000 LAK
Travel time from the Slow Boat Pier to the Laos Border Control and Immigration Office: 20 minutes.
After immigration, take a bus to cross the border (20 minutes): 30,000 LAK
The Thai and Laos borders close at 8:00 p.m.
After finishing immigration, you’ll need to take a bus across the 4th Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge.
After clearing Thai immigration, you have two options:
1. Stay in Chiang Khong: This border city in Thailand offers convenient accommodation options.
Transportation to Chiang Khong city:
Shared taxi: 60 THB per person.Private taxi: 200 THB.
2. Travel to Chiang Rai Downtown:
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
