Start your journey with a pickup from your hotel in Chiang Rai. Travel to the Chiang Khong border, where you will be assisted in crossing the border to Huay Xai, Laos. Apply for a visa and board a Lao Luang company shuttle for your slow boat journey down the Mekong River.
Stop and spend the night in Pakbeng. It is recommended to book accommodation in advance.
Day 2: Pakbeng to Luang Prabang
Check in before 8:00 AM and continue your slow boat journey to Luang Prabang. Before arriving in Luang Prabang
Arrival in Luang Prabang is expected around 4:30 PM.
