Begin your tour with hotel pickup in Chiang Mai. Then, visit a temple with your guide. After that, cross the border into Laos by bus and spend the night in Huay Xai. Wake up the next day and eat breakfast. Get on the boat and sail along the Mekong River to stop off at the town of Pak Beng.
Pay to spend the night here and then board the boat and cruise the river until you reach Luang Prabang. Marvel at this city that lies in a valley surrounded by mountains. Explore this town that is at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers, and which used to be the royal capital.
