Description

Experience 3 hours volunteering session at Kibera Pride Initiative Children's Home in Kibera ,the largest slum in Africa. Interact, Bond and share Love with the underprivileged Kids of Nairobi.
Kibera pride Initiative Children's center which is located in the heart of Kibera slum is a home to close to 50 children currently, from the age of 6 months old until when the kids complete school and are able to survive on their own(others have completed school and moved out).

The guided Volunteer Schedule is as follows;

i)The guide will pick you up at the meeting point upon your arrival and guide you to the Children's Centre.
ii) Meet & Greet - you will meet Irene(founder) or one of the Staff in her absentia ,who will cordially welcome you and give a brief history of the children's home as you are taken around the children center in the company of your guide.
iii)You will then be allowed to engage with the kids for activities like; Storytelling(real life stories), games, soccer, music and dance with the kids etc.
iv)At will, you are allowed to help the kitchen staff with lunch preparations for the children ,including serving them lunch.
v)Photo session- take numerous photos with the kids at your convenience for memories .
vi)Bid farewell to the kids for your home bound trip.

Please Note;
1)The entire activity is a 3 (three) hour session or more depending on the guest's available time and schedule.
2)One is encouraged to voluntarily purchase either - snacks/food items or make a donation of any amount in support of the children's home cause.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
