Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi

Arrival in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi where you will be welcomed by your Mahanda Africa Safaris guide. You will then be transferred to your hotel for the day in Nairobi, the beautiful Tamarind Tree Hotel.
In the afternoon, depending on your arrival time, your guide will take you on a guided city tour of Nairobi city where you can enjoy some of Nairobi's top attractions and shop some souvenirs. You can look forward to visiting the Nairobi National Museum, the Giraffe Centre and the Bomas of Kenya.

Day 2 Morning game drive and Transfer to Lake Nakuru

Today, after an early breakfast, you will head out to Nairobi National Park for a morning game drive in the only wildlife National Park that is set on the outskirts of a major international city, Nairobi.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a journey North West of the Kenyan capital towards Lake Nakuru. Tonight you will reside at the beautiful Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge in the park.

Day 3: Game Drive in Lake Nakuru National Park

Today, after an early breakfast, you will embark on a game drive towards the famous Lake Nakuru.
Nakuru in Kiswahili means “Waterbuck Haven”. Lake Nakuru National Park started off small, only encompassing the famous lake and the surrounding mountainous vicinity. Now it has been extended to include a large part of the savannahs. Currently, the Park covers around 90 square miles. It has unusual but beautiful vegetation. The forest vegetation is covered with Euphorbia, tall cactus like trees and acacia woodland. The forest region is a host to over 400 migratory bird species from around the world. The Lake is teeming with birdlife, especially the pink flamingo. Several other water animals grace the park like lions, impalas, buffalos, water bucks and Rothschild giraffes.
Your guide will lead you to the most beautiful and scenic spots in Lake Nakuru as you go along on your game drive.

Day 4-8 Explore the Northern and Central Mara

On day 4, after an early breakfast at the lodge, you will depart for the great Maasai Mara. The road to the Mara is a scenic one, passing through valleys, plantations and small towns. You will arrive in the Maasai Mara in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, you can look forward to your first of many game drives in the Maasai Mara before retiring to the beautiful AA lodge Maasai Mara within the Maasai Mara.
Over the next 4 days, you will explore the endless wonders of Central and Northern Mara reserve heading westwards towards the Mara river. Depending on the time of year, you may be able to catch the wildebeest on their migration. Between July and September every year, the wildebeest herds start their migration southwards to the Serengeti in Tanzania and it is prime time to catch them as they cross the Mara River in dramatic fashion. Lions, leopards, crocodiles, cheetahs, hyenas and so many other carnivores lie in wait for these wildebeest. A breathtaking variety of other big herbivores can be seen roaming the plains like zebras, gazelles, giraffes, and buffalo.

Day 9 Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Today is the last day of your Maasai Mara adventure. After an early morning breakfast, you and your guide will drive out of the Maasai Mara heading southwards and exiting the park at the Sekenani gate.You will have a stopover for lunch at Sekenani and then drive to Nairobi where your guide will drop you off at a place of your choosing.
