Embark on Nairobi National Park, situated just a stone's throw away from the bustling city center of Nairobi, Kenya, is a unique haven where the wilderness meets urbanity. Established in 1946, it holds the distinction of being the only national park in the world located within a capital city's boundaries, making it a remarkable testament to conservation efforts amidst rapid urbanization.

Spanning over 117 square kilometers (45 square miles) of savanna grassland, scattered acacia bushes, and pockets of dense riverine forest along the banks of the Nairobi River, the park offers visitors a captivating glimpse into Kenya's rich biodiversity and natural heritage. Its diverse landscape provides a sanctuary for a wide array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species, among others.

One of the park's most iconic features is the backdrop of the city skyline against the vast expanse of wilderness, creating a juxtaposition that is both striking and surreal. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Nairobi's skyscrapers looming on the horizon while witnessing majestic herds of wildlife roaming freely in their natural habitat.

Later spent visiting the Rothschild Giraffe Center where you can feed and visit with the large population of giraffes.
The Giraffe Center is a non-profit organization founded by Betty and Jock Leslie-Melville in 1979. Situated in Langata, just 20 km outside Nairobi City Center, the Center is dedicated to educating the Kenyan youth in conservation of the environment and the preservation of endangered wildlife and their habitats. The Center is home to endangered Rothschild giraffes, only found in the semi-arid regions of Africa where trees and bushes are plentiful. They live to be about thirty years old and their main enemy is man, who kills them for their meat and hide. Their main defense is their keen eyesight, running speed (up to 35 mph) and their powerful kicks.

Leave for the carnivore restaurant which is considered Africa’s greatest Eating Experience. Stay at carnivore for two hours while enjoying the roasted meat until satisfaction. After lunch you will be dropped back to your Nairobi Hotel/accommodation
