Embark on a 6-day safari in Kenya dedicated to exploring one of the most successful rhino conservancies in Kenya. Visit Solio Ranch, home to more than 250 white rhinos and about 80 black rhinos. Explore the Aberdare Mountains, where the rare giant forest hog lives. Walk with a wild giraffe herd and go on a safari in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the last two surviving Northern white rhino females.

Day 1: Nairobi to Solio Ranch
Get picked up in Nairobi and head to Solio Ranch. Enjoy lunch and dinner and spend the night at Muringa Villa or similar.

Day 2: Solio Ranch Full Day Game Drive
Enjoy a full day of game drives in Solio Ranch.

Day 3: Solio to Aberdare National Park
Head to the mountain-side forest of the Aberdare National Park. The park boasts a thick rainforest, spectacular waterfalls, and moorland high up the mountain. Spot elephants feeding in the bushes. If you are lucky, you might see an African giant forest hog in the thicket. Walk down the trails to catch a closer glimpse of the waterfalls. If you are lucky, you will also see rhinos and a leopard. Spend the night at The Ark Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Aberdare to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, proceed on a short drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the home of the last two surviving Northern white rhinos. In addition to the rhinoceros conservation project, there is also a project on chimpanzees here. Enjoy a game drive as you head to your camp. After lunch, relax until the afternoon when you set out for your game drive to discover the chimpanzees in their sanctuary. If you’re lucky, you’ll see other members of the Big Five today. Spend the night at Sweetwaters Tented Camp or similar.

Day 5: Ol Pejeta Conservancy Full Day
Spend the full day exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Ol Pejeta is a privately owned conservancy, overlooking the peaks of Mount Kenya. The conservancy has a great number of wildlife including all the big five animals (elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, and buffalo) among other game. The conservancy also has a special sanctuary that shelters several the rare and endangered species including black rhino, Gravy’s zebra, the Jackson’s hartebeest, and chimpanzees. The chimpanzee sanctuary is the only one in Kenya. It is a home for orphaned and abused chimpanzees, rehabilitating them to help them learn to live by themselves as in their own habitat. Spend the night at Sweetwaters Tented Camp or similar.

Day 6: Ol Pejeta to Nairobi
After breakfast, bid farewell to the camp staff and proceed back to Nairobi with a drop-off at the Nairobi hotel or airport.
