From Nairobi: 4-Day Naivasha and Masai Mara Luxury Safari

Embark on a 4-day luxury safari from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara. Enjoy a boat safari on Lake Naivasha, explore the savannahs of the Masai Mara, and track down the Big Five.
Embark on a 4-day safari that starts with a visit to Lake Naivasha for a boat safari, where you can get close to hippos and see many species of birds. Stop off at Hell's Gate National Park, the only park you can walk, drive, or ride a bicycle. Then head to the classic savannahs of the Masai Mara to venture out on game drives to track down the Big Five.

Day 1: Nairobi to Naivasha National Park
Depart Nairobi and head to the eastern Rift Valley escarpment and down onto the Rift Valley floor on your way to Lake Naivasha and the Sopa Resort. Arrive in time for lunch at the resort, which is positioned right by the lake and has beautiful grounds with huge cacti and many acacia trees.


After lunch, head out on a boat safari across the lake where you may see hippos and many species of birds including fish eagle, pelicans, and sometimes flamingos. Stop off at Crescent Island for a nature walk before returning to the lodge for the evening. Take a swim, have dinner, and watch the hippos come up from the lake to graze in Sopa’s grounds.

Day 2: Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast, head to the open grassland of the Masai Mara. Rich in biodiversity and home to a large variety of bird species and wildlife, the Masai Mara offers great game viewing and bird-watching opportunities. Arrive in time for lunch at Masai Mara Sopa Lodges.


After lunch, head out for a game drive in the reserve. The next day will be spent on a full-day game drive, with a picnic lunch, to explore the savannahs of the Masai Mara and track down all the Big Five.

Day 3: Full day at Maasai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy a full day in Maasai Mara and get to see the big five while you explore the reserve.

Day 4: Maasai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi
After an early morning game drive, head back to the lodge for breakfast, then depart your lodge for Nairobi late morning with a picnic lunch. On arrival in Nairobi, be dropped at your preferred location.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
