Immerse yourself into an authentic cultural experience staged by a local women's group in a cultural village depicting various indigenous cultures of Kenya.
Once you book, you will be greeted by a group of women with a traditional dance clad in their traditional attire.
You will then be taken round by one of our experienced guides through the traditional huts comprising Luo, Masai, Swahili, Kalenjin, Kisii, Mijikenda, Taita, Luhya, Tharaka, Kamba, and Kikuyu.
This experience will allow you to immerse yourself in the cultures and the way of life of these ethnic communities of Kenya.
You will learn about how the indigenous people lived with their families, cooked and stored their food, and worshiped their god.
The guided tour will take approximately 90 minutes.
Once the tour of the homesteads is complete, you will enjoy a staged performance of traditional dances using traditional musical instruments.
Mombasa Cultural Village is a product of a group of 40+ women drawn from several ethnic communities living in perfect harmony and they derive their livelihoods from the cultural center.

The cultural village was founded by a team of enterprising local community women who aspire to use tourism and cultural heritage as a means of self-empowerment.
Mombasa Cultural Village is inside the Mombasa ASK showground, 150 Meters from the main gate, the security personnel will direct you.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
