Day 1: Mombasa-Tsavo East / West
Be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive along the main Mombasa-Nairobi highway through the semi-arid country to the Tsavo East National Park. Begin looking for animals on entry into the park, passing via Aruba Dam and Kanderi Swamp, where more animals could be found.
Stop for lunch at a restaurant and proceed to Tsavo West National Park. Embark on a game drive on arrival and head to the rhino sanctuary, where you may see the black rhino. Other animals likely to be seen are leopards, lions, zebras, hyenas, buffalo, elephants, and hunting dogs.
Enjoy dinner and spend the night at a lodge or camp.
