Shimba Hills is one of the largest coastal forests in East Africa, rich in flora and fauna and hosts highest density of african elephants.Other species found are bushy tailed mangoose, sable entelope.
Pick up from your hotel in Mombasa and proceed to Shimba Hills for a mid morning game drive.
We will look out for the endangered Sable Antelope, Giraffe,civet cat, monkeys, shrews and more than 100 bird species such as the ostrich, african hawk, eagle etc
We shall further explore magnificent Shedrick’s Falls on the hills before proceeding to Shimba Lodge for lunch.After lunch, you will continue with the game drive until 3:30 pm when you will check out of the park and drive back to your hotel.
Beyond the serene sandy beaches of Mombasa, elephants and sable antelopes leisurely patrol the gently rolling and one of the largest coastal rain forest of Shimba Hills National Reserve in Kwale County. This reserve has the last breeding herd of the rare sable antelope in Kenya.
