Make a difference in the lives of children by volunteering at a children's home in Kibera Slum, Nairobi. Help with feeding, setting up activities, and providing educational support.
Our small and very humble Children's Centre is located right inside Kibera slum. It is called KCOOP Children's Centre under KCOOP Organization.

KCOOP Children's Centre is a free space for orphans and vulnerable children from Kibera slum to learn, play, develop skills and sharpen talents.
Volunteering with us is a very rewarding and fulfilling experience.

ITINERARY
We will start by welcoming you to KCOOP Organization office which is located in Kibera slum for introductions, briefings and orientation. You will meet some of the KCOOP team members and learn more about our organization. Thereafter, we will head to our Children's Centre which is about 5 minutes walking distance from our office. Depending on your skills and preferences, you can help us in one or more ways as follows;
1. Supervise reading time
2. Play indoor games with the children
3. Play outdoor games like soccer with the
children
4. Organize a story session
5. Teach the kids basic skills like morality and hygiene practices
6. Organizing field trip with the children
7. Teaching basics like colors, shapes, numbers, animals and so on
8. Setting up activities and games for entertainment, aimed at building self esteem, learning and just having fun
9. Organizing general clean up at the children Centre or in the community
10. Preparing and serving hot meals to the
kids
11. Art and Crafts session with the kids
12. If you are experienced in fundraising and grant writing then you can help us
in raising money to fund the children to go to school. Even if you are not able to come personally to our children's center or office you can still help us virtually in fundraising or grant writing
13. You can also come up with your own unique activity for our children.

NOTE:
>We are very flexible and can customize this experience to match your interests

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
