Embark on a 10-day safari in Kenya and Tanzania. Visit the Karen Blixen Museum, the Giraffe Centre, and the Masai Mara National Reserve. Explore the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day acclimating to your new time zone.
Day 2: Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Centre
Visit the Karen Blixen Museum, once the farm house of the prominent author of Out of Africa. Continue to the Giraffe Centre, where you hand-feed the Rothschild giraffes from an elevated feeding platform and learn more about the successful breeding program and extensive conservation efforts. Return to your hotel.
Day 3: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Travel to the Masai Mara National Reserve in the southwest corner of Kenya, renowned for its game viewing. Have lunch at the camp, before going out on an afternoon game drive.
Day 4: Masai Mara
Set out early for a morning breakfast then proceed to full day game drive with picnic lunch. Drift above the beautiful landscape, watching wild game roam the vast plains below. Enjoy your final game drive in the Mara. Return to your camp in time for dinner.
Day 5: Masai Mara to Serengeti
Depart from Masai Mara to the Isebania border. Arrive at the Kenya-Tanzania border in time for a hot lunch. After lunch and clearance formalities, your guide at the Kenya side, will handover you to the Tanzania guide to proceed with him at the Tanzania side safari. Leave the Isebania border to Serengeti to arrive in the late afternoon with a game drive on the way to your camp.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Have breakfast then depart for a full-day game drive carrying parked lunch with you. Marvel at what Serengeti has to offer regarding wild game hence famously known as the World’s largest wildlife sanctuary. Serengeti has beautiful views of the endless plains with over 500 recorded bird species.
Day 7: Serengeti to Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its huge herds of elephants and giraffe, as well as a remarkable variety of over 500 bird species. The afternoon game drive is certain to inspire with views of the park's gigantic Baobab trees.
Day 8: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara, famous for its nimble blue monkeys and elephants. More than 400 species live here, along with an abundance of birdlife that makes it a haven for bird watchers. The afternoon is at leisure to rest and enjoy the amenities of the camp, before dinner tonight.
Day 9: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater
Explore the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend almost 2,000 feet to the floor of the crater, containing diverse ecosystems and a vast concentration of birds and animals. You may spot gazelles, zebra and many more. Enjoy a picnic lunch before you ascend to the crater rim and return to the camp. At dinner tonight, celebrate your final night in Tanzania.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast proceed for a morning game drive and leave Ngorongoro National park for Arusha arriving in the afternoon where the safari ends.
