Enjoy a fantastic game drive early morning or late afternoon at the Nairobi National Park which borders the Capital. Nairobi National Park Kenya’s first-ever National Park is a unique and unspoiled wildlife haven within sight of the city’s skyline. Rhino, buffalo, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, lion, and plenty of antelopes and gazelles can be seen roaming in this open plains country with a section of highland forest as well as stretches of broken bush country, deep, rocky valleys and gorges with scrub and long grass. Ornithologists catch up with over 300 bird species including the Secretary bird, crowned cranes, vultures, peckers, and many more.
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s Orphan project, located in a secluded area of the Nairobi National Park, where orphaned baby elephants, rhinos, and other animals are taken care of by a dedicated team of conservationists. At 1100 Hours, the baby animals are brought from the National Park for a mud bath at the orphanage, where for an hour you can get close to them and sometimes touch them. You may not feed the animals but will get a chance to view the handlers feeding them.
