From Nairobi: Mount Kenya Hiking and Safari Tour

Embark on a 2-day adventure to Mount Kenya and the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. See the iconic equator line, go on game drives, and see the rare northern white rhinos. Climb to the viewpoint and the Shiptons Camp, and see the animals at the watering hole at the Serena Sweetwaters Lodge.

Day 1:

Begin your tour at 6:00 AM. Drive for 2.5 hours through the central countryside and arrive in Nanyuki at 8:30 AM. Stop and take a photo at the iconic equator crossing point. Proceed to the gate where you will make payments and enter the park.

Go on a 2-hour game drive to the chimpanzee sanctuary. Here, a local guide will take you on a guided walk to see the chimps up close. If you're lucky, you may be able to feed them with the caretaker guides.

Head to the Serena Sweetwaters Lodge for lunch. See the animals coming to the watering hole for water in front of the lodge. Go on more game drives and visit Baraka, a blind rhino that has been given an enclosure.

In the afternoon game drives, come across the three rare northern white rhinos. Depart and head to Nanyuki town to meet your mountain guide. Start your drive to the gate and arrive by 6:00 PM. Head to the first climbing camp called Old Moses Camp. Retire for dinner and sleep.

Day 2:

Depart early in the morning for a hike further up the mountain. Climb to the viewpoint and the Shiptons Camp. Have a picnic lunch here. Start coming down to arrive at the first camp by 3:00 PM. Board the awaiting car and start the drive to Nairobi to arrive around 6:00 PM.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
