Description
Explore the “Theater of the Wild” of Tsavo West National Park, one of the best places in the world to see wildlife, and stay in luxury accommodation at a five-star hotel.
Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo National Park Pick up from your hotel or airport and drive to Tsavo National Park. Drive through the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. The journey will take you through the beautiful scenery of eastern Kenya, wildlife along the way, and the diverse cultures of the surrounding communities. After a 5-hour drive, you will reach the town of Voi, where you will branch off to the main entrance of Tsavo National Park. You'll drive to Taita Mountain Resort and Spa for lunch on the way, where a variety of delicacies are served in the main dining area in a lively atmosphere. After lunch, drive to the famous Saltlick safari Lodge, check in, and then set off to watch the game. Return to the lodge for a sumptuous buffet dinner, stunning views overlooking floodlit waterholes, close-up views of the animals, and finally a wonderful rest. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Saltlick safari Lodge or similar .
Day 2: Tsavo West Full Day Safari Spend a full day exploring the vast Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. This private reserve is located next to Tsavo West, so it's easily accessible. The park's landscape is greener than Tsavo's and the viewing is just as good. The reserve offers good birding opportunities, but this is not the main attraction of Mount Taita. One unique thing about this small park is that the rangers here usually have a good idea of where the larger animals can be found. It's not unheard of for safari enthusiasts to spot more than a dozen species on a game drive. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Saltlick safari Lodge or similar hotel
Day 3: Have breakfast early in the morning before embarking on a game drive and catching a glimpse of the sunrise on the way back to Nairobi.
Highlights
- See chimpanzees living in the reserve
