Madaba is a city in central Jordan known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. The most famous mosaic is the 6th-century Holy Land map in St. George's Church. This map is the oldest known map of its kind and depicts the Holy Land from Jerusalem to the Nile River.
Mount Nebo is a mountaintop overlooking the Jordan River Valley and the Dead Sea. According to the Bible, this is where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land before he died. On a clear day, you can see Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Jericho from Mount Nebo.
