Discover Nara's must-see landmarks on the deluxe coach tour and try to make Matcha tea yourself at Uji in kyoto! In this tour we will take you to most famous places in ancient Nara & Kyoto such as Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and Byodoin Temple, which also happens to be the World Heritage Sites of Nara and Kyoto.

There are many historical and beautiful sites such as temples, Shrines and park. With our friendly English-speaking native guide, hop between historic landmarks with magnificent views, and enjoy free time along the way.

Departing from Kyoto at 8am, a comfortable air-conditioned coach will drive pass Fushimi Castle and Heijokyo palace on the way to Nara. First, we will visit Todaiji Temple, a must-see tourist destination in Nara. One of the world's largest Buddha statue is installed inside. You will be amazed by its height of 15m.

Nara Park is adjacent to the same site, so take a walk through Nara Park and enjoy the company of Nara's wild deer. You can also feed rice crackers to deer at park. It is sold at roadside stalls and on the way to shrines in Nara Park. So Let's enjoy feeding the deer and you might as well get a lovely bow from them!

Next, we will head to Kasuga Taisha shrine. The 3,000 stone lanterns are very magical and a must-see.

After Exploring Nara area, we will visit the Uji area which also is the home of matcha.
We take our lunch break and guests who booked our tour with "lunch option" shall enjoy a Japanese lunch.
Then we will visit Byodo-in Temple, famous also for the Phoenix Hall depicted on the 10 yen coin. It is registered as UNESCO World Heritage Site as one of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto.

After sightseeing at Byodoin Temple, let us try our hand at making Uji matcha!
Matcha is a powder made from finely crushed green tea leaves. In Japan, in addition to being used as a drink during tea ceremonies. It is also widely used as an ingredient in Japanese sweets, Western sweets, and cooking. Matcha that you make yourself will be a special taste.

Many small shops, restaurants and other attractions are found nearby Matcha house, where you can enjoy your shopping spree too. After the matcha making, the tour bus goes back to Kyoto Station.

The tour includes commentary from both our friendly tour guide and a Multilingual audio guide in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese and Ukrainian. The coach has antibacterial coating and is regularly ventilated. You can enjoy the tour with a comfy airconditioned bus plus the free WIFI.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
