Learn to cook a traditional homestyle Japanese meal with Grandma Junko.
No matter where you go there is always something special about home cooked food. Learn to make a real Japanese style meal yourself from a real Nagoyan grandma. Being an expert in the art of Japanese cooking, Grandma Junko can teach you all about the history and culture of Japanese cuisine. Learn the unique Nagoya style of cooking as you create a healthy set of dishes. You’ll be making a unique Japanese style meal called ichiju sansai which is a balanced course of one soup and three dishes. Choose chicken or fish as the main dish then get to work on making sides. You’ll try your hand at rolled omelets, onigiri rice balls with salmon and katsuobushi, and either Grandma’s special soup and sesame spinach with the chicken or pork miso soup and a tofu salad with the salmon. Enjoy some tea and sweets after your meal and take home a wonderful range of recipes to use whenever you like.

Using the subway (Sakura-dori Line : bound for Tokushige) from Nagoya Station is convenient. Get off at Sakurayama Station (S11) from Exit7. We will be waiting for you at Sakurayama Subway Station above-ground exit 7.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
