Tochigi Nikko is a charming town in Japan’s Tochigi Prefecture with plenty of attractions where you can experience authentic Japanese culture.

Start your journey in Toshogu Shrine,it is a UNESCO World Heritage that no traveler to Japan should forget to visit! Memorial of Tokugawa Ieyasu who founded the Tokugawa shogunate. Nikko Toshogu Shrine, one of the most famous shrines in the Kanto area, completed the largest restoration project in 40 years in 2017. The construction cost of "Yomeimon" alone has exceeded 1 billion yen. In addition to the magnificent appearance, there are sculptures full of legends such as "Three Apes", "Sleeping Cat" and "Singing Dragon" inside the building.

Next, go to visit Rinno-ji Temple Shoyoen Garden,renowned for its beautiful autumn foliage, Rinno-ji Temple Shoyoen Garden is a 3,200-square-meter garden (about 1,000 tsubo) within the precincts of Rinno-ji Temple, with a history spanning over 1,250 years.
Stroll on the historic street of Nikko City, along the pilgrimage route,you'll find restaurants and souvenir shops. Many shops here sell Nikko specialties like "Yuba" and Japanese sweets. One highly recommended Nikko delicacy is "Yuba," which is tofu skin and is worth trying.

Subsequently,we're gonna drive down this road Irohazaka Road, one of "Japan's Top 100 Roads." This mountainous road in Nikko is famous for its scenic driving route, with a total of 48 turns along the uphill and downhill lanes. It's particularly stunning during autumn, known for its vibrant fall foliage, making it very popular.

Don't miss the Japan's highest-altitude natural lake-Lake Chuzenji. Throughout the seasons, it offers breathtaking scenery, including rhododendrons in spring, lush greenery in summer, vibrant autumn foliage, and snowy landscapes in winter. Especially famous are the rhododendrons in spring and the autumn foliage, attracting a continuous stream of photographers who come to capture their beauty.

Then, admire the magnificent Kegon Falls which was formed when the Daiya River was rerouted by lava flows. Kegon Falls is also an unmissable attraction, which is one of the three major waterfalls in Japan, a large waterfall formed by the river flowing from Lake Chuzenji. The waterfall pouring down from a height of 97 meters is very magnificent, and it is set off by the different scenery in different seasons next to it.
