Lake Toya: Lake Toya (Touyako) is located in the southwest of Hokkaido and belongs to Shikotsu-Toya National Park. In the early 20th century, volcanic eruptions were frequent, and this lake was formed after it sank. The lake surface will not freeze in winter. It is the northernmost non-freezing lake in Japan, and the lake water ripples all year round.
