Option 1: Without Nachi Waterfall
Start your day exploring the historic 16th-century Wakayama Castle, with panoramic views and exhibits of samurai history and artifacts. Head to Mount Koya, a sacred Buddhist site, and visit the main temple of Shingon Buddhism, Kongobuji Temple, famed for its beautiful rock garden and serene halls.
Dive into the history and art of the Shingon sect at the Mount Koya Museum. Wander the tranquil lantern-lit pathways of Japan’s largest cemetery, Okunoin Cemetery, honoring historical figures and monks. Conclude the day at the dramatic coastal cave of Sandanbeki Cave, with its storied pirate hideout and rugged cliffs.

Nachi Falls will be closed for restoration until January 5, 2025. In the meantime, we are offering tours to Mount Koya and Wakayama, featuring sacred temples, cultural landmarks, and stunning natural scenery for an enriching experience.
Wear comfortable walking shoes as there is a moderate amount of walking involved.
Check the weather forecast and dress appropriately.
Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Photography is allowed, but flash photography is not permitted inside temples.
Lunch is included, but dietary restrictions should be communicated in advance.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
