Experience the Japanese tea ceremony with a thick and thin tea session. Enjoy a Japanese-style meal and a sweet at the authentic tea room.
Feel the subtle and profound for the beginning of the way of tea at the Former Daijo-in Temple Garden followed by the Japanese style meal and the rustic tea gathering is offered at the authentic tea room in the next morning.
This is the experience for the full course of the tea gathering, the tea function, consisted of the meal, the sweet, thick tea and thin tea. We use the tea utensils came from the continent via the Silk Road since the rustic ideal had originated in 15th century, and the items domestically produced which was not originally created as the tea utensils since it had developed at the tea gathering afterwards.
We introduce the Japanese style meal specialized for the tea function with explanation and also offer the experience for making lid rest. In the next morning, guests can see sun rising from the Nara Kasugayama Primeval Forest, one of the World Heritage Sites, and feel the workings of nature and human beings.
At the latter tea gathering, we use the tea utensils domestically produced after Sen no Rikyu (1522-1591) had developed after 100 hundred years of the beginning of the rustic ideal had originated.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
