Description
You can do tea ceremony experience at with an English-speaking instructor who has over 15 years of experience. You also learn about the history of the tea ceremony, and proper etiquette.
First, we will explain the history, etiquette, and tools of the tea ceremony. Then, we will have a seat on tatami mats in tea rooms that were specially designed 100 years ago. This is when the tea ceremony will begin. You’ll enjoy watching the instructor’s demonstration of traditional Japanese culture, and you will also have the opportunity to prepare tea yourself. You can then savor the tea alongside traditional Kyoto sweets. A Q&A session will be provided, so feel free to ask any questions you may have.

The cafe (Grapevine Café Kyoto) where you can experience the tea ceremony is located on Ninenzaka Street in the Kiyomizu area. It's right in front of the Park Hyatt Kyoto.
