We welcome you with warm hospitality and guide you into the world of the tea ceremony, where 500 years of history and tradition come alive. In the tea ceremony room, you will feel a sense of Zen as you admire the natural beauty of the four seasons. After a detailed explanation of the etiquette and spirituality of the tea ceremony, you will witness a demonstration by a tea master. Following this, each guest will have the opportunity to prepare matcha tea.
Savor the fragrant matcha and seasonal sweets while learning to use the tea whisk, and take a moment to relax. This luxurious experience embodies the Japanese spirit of “ichigo ichie” (a once-in-a-lifetime encounter).

The tea ceremony room is located on the second floor and accessible only via a steep stairway; there is no elevator available. If you have concern go upstairs, you can book another experience on the first floor under the same activity provider 'SAKAGUCHIAN.' Guests with knee or leg injuries may find the stairs challenging; please consider this before booking.
Late entry is not permitted, and rescheduling to another time will not be possible. Please arrive on time.
Go through the large wooden gate where you can see the Japanese garden and proceed 10 meters. Turn left and go through the white gate to find Sakaguchi-an.

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
