Experience a tea gathering of the tea ceremony, or Chado, the way of tea.
Here at Tea Ceremony Experience in Hiroshima, you can have the authentic Chado experience. This tea room is not made to demonstrate tea gatherings to the tourists, but it is a place where many local Chado-learners come and practice Urasenke Chado, which is the main school of Chado in Japan, everyday.
There are many things in Japanese Chado that attract people. Of course the tasty Matcha tea, but also from the beautiful postures and movements of the well-trained hosts, to the utensils and hanging scrolls which are Japanese traditional crafts, to the seasonal flowers, to the colorful sweets. There are many elements, and what fascinates you the most may differ from one person to another, but everything is prepared for you, so you can have the best time.
The experience is conducted either in Japanese or English. Upon request, you can learn the manner on how to enjoy the sweets and Matcha tea.

1. Explanation of Chado
2. Participation in the tea gathering as a guest. Have a Japanese sweet and a bowl of Matcha tea.
3. Make your own bowl of tea.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
