Discover the beauty of Iwakuni and Miyajima on a guided day trip from Hiroshima. See the Kintaikyo Bridge, Iwakuni Castle, and the famous O-torii gate on this tour.
Embark on a guided tour of Hiroshima, Iwakuni, and Miyajima. Visit the Kintaikyo Bridge, Iwakuni Castle, and the Senjokaku Pavilion. Explore the Omotesando Shopping Street, Itsukushima Shrine, and the Daisho-in Temple.

Start your tour at Hiroshima Station. Meet your guide by the Shinkansen gates under the Tourist Information sign. Leave your belongings in a coin locker and head to your first destination, Kintaikyo Bridge.

Learn about the bridge's history and unique architecture. Cross the bridge and stroll through Kikko Park and Kikko Shrine. Board the Iwakuni Ropeway to reach the top of Mount Shiroyama.

Take a short stroll to Iwakuni Castle. Tour the different exhibitions displayed on each floor, ending with a viewing platform at the very top. Admire a fantastic view of the city and the Kintaikyo Bridge.

Descend the mountain and head to Miyajima. Walk to the Omotesando Shopping Street. Enjoy around 2 hours of free time to grab lunch, eat tasty snacks, or purchase souvenirs.

Make your way to the Senjokaku Pavilion. Learn about the history and different elements found within the shrine. Relax and take in the beautiful scenery of the island.

Next, visit the Itsukushima Shrine. Learn about Shintoism and the history of the shrine. Make your way through the temple and observe the different worship halls, the unique architecture of the “floating shrine,” and the iconic O-torii gate located in the Seto Inland Sea.

Walk to the Daisho-in Temple, a prestigious Shingon Buddhist temple located not too far from Itsukushima Shrine. Observe a myriad of Buddhist figures and multiple halls.

Finish the guided tour at the Daisho-in Temple. Make your way back to the Miyajima pier. Walk up to the O-torii gate during low-tide. Accompany your guide on the ferry back to the mainland and one last train ride, with the tour ending at Hiroshima Station.

Coin lockers are available at Hiroshima Station for storing belongings.
The meetup point is under the Tourist Information sign outside of the Shinkansen gates. If you are arriving via Shinkansen, the sign will be located directly to your left as you exit the gates. If you are arriving via a JR line, please look for signs directing you towards the Shinkansen gates. For those coming from outside the station via bus, find a nearby Underground Passage and then follow signs to Hiroshima Station. At Hiroshima Station, follow the signs directing you to the Shinkansen gates. For those coming from outside the station via Streetcar, Hiroshima Station will be right next to you. Follow the signs directing you to the Shinkansen gates. Lastly, if you wish to arrive via taxi, please ask the driver to drop you off at the Shinkansen Entrance (also known as North Entrance). After arriving, please look for signs directing you to the Shinkansen gates. When you arrive, be sure to look for the guide holding a SNOW MONKEY RESORTS tour sign.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
