Description
Live the experience on board the 'killer submarine' of the Cold War, one of the first units to be built in Italy after the Second World War and can now be visited inside the Venice Arsenal.
Measuring 46 meters long and nearly 5 meters wide, the Enrico Dandolo Submarine is one of the first four submarines designed during the Cold War era. Silent, maneuverable, and fast, these submarines were equipped with advanced technologies that fortunately were never used for offensive purposes. Today, located within the spaces of the Arsenal, the Submarine is open to all visitors. Purchase your additional ticket to board and discover the control room and torpedo launching chamber.
With your ticket, you will have the opportunity to explore not only the Submarine but also the MUNAV, the Naval Historical Museum of Venice, for two days. Just a 5-minute walk from Piazza San Marco and adjacent to the Ancient Arsenal of Venice, MUNAV is owned by the Italian Navy and is the most important naval museum in Italy. With an exhibition area of 6000 square meters, immerse yourself in the glorious maritime history of Venice through a five-floor exhibition.
