Andiamo, slowly slowly. Follow me, please, in a comfortable walking tour of 2 hours around the Roman Colony of Pompeii.
You will experience the pace of an ancient society, discovering the economy, understanding the myths and the beliefs while we'll visit the City with its public and private buildings.

You will imagine the everyday life visiting places such as the Court or the Food Market, both adjacent to the main square, the Forum.
We will spend some time in buildings dedicated to the "ludo" (Theatres or Termal Baths), talking for example about some roman Pantomime or Comedy or we will laugh of the latest gossip about the Emperor's wife.
We will go shopping, then to buy bread at a special Bakery; we will go to the Laundry to get the white tunic for the rich patrician.

Obviously we will visit the Taberna, the restaurant, to imagine eating the famous "Lucullan" lunch. In that occasion I will tell you about the famous recipes of this Region, called Campania Felix (Happy Countriside). Some of these recipes still exist, others have changed profoundly.

In Pompeii there are gardens, orchards but also vineyards replanted exactly as they were when Vesuvius erupted.

Then we will visit some important private House with its Frescoes on the walls and the Mosaics on the floors. Let's hope that the tunic we got in the laundry belongs to the owner of that house.

You will visit this City with the real point of view of a local, before the volcano erupts.
