Your day trip to Francicorta begins after meeting your guide in Milan at 9:00 AM for transport in an air-conditioned minivan with wifi onboard. Your first stop is Bergamo, one of the best preserved Medieval cities in Italy, recently included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites for its Venetian walls. After 2 hours of free time to explore the stunning city, it’s off to lunch at a prestigious, traditional restaurant for a 3-course meal with included wine. 

After lunch, you'll reach one of the most historical wineries in the region for a guided tour and tasting accompanied by an expert sommelier. Learn the history of the region's famous sparkling wines along with the main phases of the production process. You’ll also get to explore the underground cellars which host the bottles during the second fermentation phase. The tour will finish with a tasting of 2 Franciacorta wines paired with local salami and cheese.

In the afternoon, coast along the Franciacorta Wine Route to catch some of the most breathtaking spots of Franciacorta and Lake Iseo. Passing through the hillside vineyards, discover why this region is renowned as the as the producer of Italy’s best sparkling wines.
