Meet your kayaking guide in Sólheimajökull and get set up with a dry suit. Then, your guide will demonstrate basic techniques, show you how to maneuver in the kayak, and make sure you're comfortable.

Meet at Sólheimajökull Base Camp, by the Sólheimajökull parking lot.
Directions to Sólheimajökull parking lot:
From West (Reykjavik): 6 kilometers after Skógar you turn left (just after the bridge) onto road 221 and then follow that road for about 5 kilometers to the Sólheimajökull parking lot.
From East (Vík): 3 kilometers after you pass Road 222, you turn right (just before the bridge) onto Road 221 and then follow that road 5 kilometers to the Sólheimajökull parking lot.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
