Description
This approx. 8-hour German-speaking small group tour takes you from the harbor in Akureyri to the Goðafoss waterfall and the volcanic lake Mývatn.
The tour starts at the cruise port in Akureyri and leads along the fjord with a view of the town of Akureyri over the Vikurskarð mountain pass to the beautiful Góðafoss waterfall.
From there we continue over two plateaus to Lake Mývatn, where we make several stops. You will experience pseudocraters, bizarre lava formations, boiling mud springs, craters and the warm water-filled cave Gjrotagjá, famous from the series Games of Thrones.
The duration of the tour is approx. 8 hours; the departure times are adapted to the berthing times of the cruise ships.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
