Early in the morning, your driver will pick you up from your hotel/accommodation in Yogyakarta to go to a hidden gem of sunrise viewpoint at Gunung Kidul. Once you arrive at the site, do a very short trekking on a hill to get to the sunrise viewpoint. Enjoy the sunrise from here on an open vast landscape from the top of the hill and then wait until the sun completely rises.
