Begin your day with an early morning pickup at 6:00am from your hotel. Enjoy a serene sunrise boat ride on the sacred Ganges River, witnessing the morning rituals performed along the riverside.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple: After the boat ride, embark on a short walking tour through the old city's alleyways with your guide. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples.

Banaras Hindu University: After breakfast (own expense), head to Banaras Hindu University at 10am. Established in 1916, BHU boasts the largest university campus in Asia. Tour the campus, including the Bharat Kala Bhavan museum and the new Vishwanath Temple (Birla Temple), an exact replica of the original Vishwanath Temple.

Bharat Mata Temple: Visit the Mother India Temple, built in 1918, which houses an unusual marble relief map of the Indian subcontinent. At 12:30pm, learn about the silk weaving traditions of Varanasi, followed by a lunch break (own expense). After lunch, drive about eight miles (13 km) to Sarnath.

Sarnath: Located 10 kilometers northeast of Varanasi, near the confluence of the Ganges and Varuna rivers, Sarnath is the site where Gautama Buddha gave his first sermon. Visit the Dhamekh Stupa and the Archaeological Museum, which houses treasures dating back to the 3rd-century BC (closed Fridays).

Dasaswamedh Ghat: At 5pm, visit the cremation grounds on the banks of the Ganges, then return to Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the evening Ganga Aarti ceremony. The tour concludes with a return to your hotel around 8pm.
