At 5:00 AM, our driver will pick you up and take you the approximately 4-hour drive to Haridwar. 214 km from Delhi is the holy city of Haridwar, which is situated in the state of Uttaranchal in northern India. Haridwar, which means "the gate of God," is one of the holiest Hindu sites in India and has long been a hub of Hindu mysticism and devotion. Haridwar is a popular destination for Hindu pilgrims from all over the world because it is located on the banks of the Ganges (Ganges) River, where the river flows from the mountains into the North Indian plains. Haridwar tourist attractions: Har-ki-Pauri after the Charan (footprints) of Hari (God Vishnu), which are inscribed on the stone used to build the dams' upper wall. This sacred bathing location is known as Brahmakund. The most beautiful sight during the Ganga Arti ceremony at twilight is the reflection of the flowering diya's golden tones in the Ganges River. This is the most significant ghat along the Ganges River, where every devotee must take a holy bath. Mansa Devi Temple: The shrine is devoted to the goddess Mansa Devi, who is reputed to grant visitors' requests.
The temple provides a wonderful perspective of Haridwar. The Siddhapeeth triangle is completed by it, together with Chandi Devi Temple and Maya Devi Temple. Small town Rishikesh is located in Uttarakhand, a state in northern India. The Beatles visited Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's (now closed) ashram at Rishikesh, a gorgeous place where the Ganges River rises in the Himalayas, and the city is still referred to as the world's centre for yoga. The entrance to the Himalayas is located in Rishikesh. Ideally, the Char Dham Yatra (holy pilgrimage to four shrines) begins at Rishikesh.
Attractions One of the most significant bathing ghats in Rishikesh is the Triveni Ghat. The ghat is the perfect place to take a bath in the Ganges' sacred waters because it has contemporary depictions of Hindu deities and a white sandy beach. Worth viewing is the arati (prayer) that is performed at night using lanterns. The most well-known location in Rishikesh is Lakshman Jhula, which is essentially a suspension bridge across the Ganges river. A historic footbridge with the name Lakshmanjhula—after Lord Rama's brother—can be seen about two kilometres upstream. At Lakshmanjhula, there are temples on either side of the river. Swarg Ashram: This ashram is a popular destination for those looking for information on religious topics because of its abundance of ashrams, food stands, and shops. Visit the Haridwar Ganga Aarti in the evening at the time of sunset. The custom is being observed today and is praised for its beauty. On the opposite side of the shore, you can watch as the priests light the lamps in a circular motion while being accompanied by chants honouring Mother Ganga. In order to obtain the Goddess' blessings and purification after completing the ceremony, followers place their hands over the flame and lift their palms to their foreheads. After returning to Delhi, you will be delivered to your home about 10 p.m.
