Visit the Haridwar Ganga Aarti in the evening at the time of sunset. The custom is being observed today and is praised for its beauty. On the opposite side of the shore, you can watch as the priests light the lamps in a circular motion while being accompanied by chants honouring Mother Ganga. In order to obtain the Goddess' blessings and purification after completing the ceremony, followers place their hands over the flame and lift their palms to their foreheads.
