We will begin the journey by admiring Unesco heritage site as our City Explorer® will take you to Humayun's mausoleum, also known as Maqbara-e-Humayun, is an architectural marvel. It is thought to be the earliest garden tomb created in India. It is the Mughal emperor Humayun's mausoleum. Humayun's tomb was designated a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1993, adding to the significance of this remarkable red sandstone building. Humayun's mausoleum was the first edifice in India to be built in the Mughal style. Humayun's tomb stands on a 7-meter-high elevated platform in the centre of a garden complex. The garden around the tomb is Char Bagh, a classic Persian arrangement that represents the garden of heaven.
Enroute to our next Unesco site, we weill explore the modern history of New Delhi as we take you India Gate, Kartavya Path and the President's Estates- an exploraton full of stories surrounding the architecture of 20th century Delhi. Then, you will stop for a lunch at a local restaurant.
Later, visitng the Old Delhi, exploring the chaotic lanes of this living historical city. Explore the Unesco heritage site of Red Fort built during the 17th century AD. Also experience the grandeur of Mughal times as the City Explorer® will take you through the majestic architecture of South Asia's largest mosque ever built in the 17th century, the Jama Masjid or Friday Mosque. Old Delhi experience will take you on a journey full of memories, history, culture and the drooling food here.
At last, you will witness the charms of Delhi in the form of world's largest Brick Minaret, the Qutub Minar- another Unesco heritage site where you will be amused with the vivid history of this region and the beautiful art of Indo-Islamic architecture.
