Half day tour where a well-accomplished dancer and her students will bring alive this ancient dance form of India through mythology, gestures and expressions. They will teach you a few steps as well.
Bharatanatyam is a unique ancient art from the temples of South India. Our instructor will introduce this dance form through mythical stories and spiritual ideas. Guests will learn the language, concepts, and history of this dance form.
This is followed by a demonstration of how actions, footwork and hand gestures come together to bring alive the different emotions while narrating a story. While eye movements convey the meaning facial expressions capture the essence of the narrative.
