Description
A 2-hour ATV quad bike adventure at the foot of Mýrdalsjökull Glacier on the southern coast of Iceland. Including the famous DC3 plane wreck. Experience the contrast between the black sand desert, the Atlantic ocean and the serene mountain valleys.
The adventure starts with a short safety briefing on how to operate the ATVs. When everyone is ready, it's take-off time, when you'll head for the majestic black sand plains of Sólheimasandur. Cross this desert-like landscape and stop by the famous DC3 plane that crashed on the sands in 1973.
The guide will lead the group further over the sands to the spectacular coastline to witness views of the surrounding area. From the beach, see Dyrhólaey peninsula, the southernmost tip of Iceland. Looking inland, you can see the marvelous Mýrdalsjökull glacier in the distance.
Heading back over the sands and following the Jökulsá river, your adventure will conclude as you cross a river to enter a stunning mountain valley.

A valid driver’s license is required to drive a quad bike. Single riders and groups with odd numbers are required to book a single ride ATV.
The number of visitors is limited to reduce crowds

Arrive at the base camp 30 minutes before the activity starts.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
