In the first half of this experience, we will take you on a guided tour to the volcanic eruption in Geldingadalir, known as Fagradalsfjall Volcano. With the first eruption in the Reykjanes Peninsula in about 800 years currently taking place this sight provides a unique opportunity to study the geologic mysteries of the region.
Your driver and guide will take you to the start of the hiking route to the volcano in Geldingadalir, where your group will hike towards the lava flow and the volcano. The hike takes approximately 1.5 hours each way, depending on the conditions - the sites around the volcano often change due to the freely flowing lava.
After an exciting hike around the volcano, you can enter the world famous Blue Lagoon with a comfort admission package, and immerse yourself in the milky-blue geothermal seawaters. Included in the comfort package is entrance, a silica mud mask, use of a towel and a drink of your choice.
