Meet your guide at the meeting point on Trinity Square (Szentháromság tér) and enter the Buda Castle underground cave system. After a short introduction you will start your tour and learn about the history of the labyrinth-like of cave system which once served as wine cellars, bomb shelters and even a medieval prison.

The length of your tour is approximately 1.5km (1 mile) and you will get the chance to admire the natural limestone caverns and the 800-year-old man-made cellars in one of the most unique caves of Hungary. The tour is a journey through time during which you will be able to learn a lot about not only the geology of the Buda Castle but also about the combined work of man and nature throughout many centuries.

This walking tour is roughly 1.5km long (1 mile) & takes place in a cave environment on paved roads with lighting.
The inside temperature is 12°C (54° Fahrenheit), suitable clothing and comfortable shoes are recommended.
The number of visitors is limited to reduce crowds

Your guide will be waiting for you in front of the Holy Trinity statue at the Trinity Square.
