Country: Guatemala

Duration: 06:00 hours

Description

The capital city is a reflection of the biodiversity, cultures and conflicts that have shaped our country. A general introduction to our history and geography.
La Nueva Guatemala de la Asuncion (complete name of the city) is often overlooked in favor of places with a larger tourism flow. A private tour is the safest way to go around off the beaten path attractions that will allow you to experience the life in the city like a local.

We will visit a Mayan archaeological and ceremonial site within the city limits (zone 7), and walk around historical landmarks located in the Historical Center District (zones 2 & 1): Relief Map, Central Square and surrounding buildings, Central Market, 6th Avenue, Civic Center) at some point during this part of the tour we will eat lunch at a local restaurant. And we finish with a drive around the modern areas of the city around zones 9, 10, 13 and 14, plus an optional degustation of gourmet Guatemalan coffee.

Ask for options to customize the tour with no extra cost: like adding visits to museums, or any special request to adapt the tour to your specific interests.
