This tour gives you the opportunity to explore Crete away from the tourist resorts with amazing views, Lasithi Plateau the biggest one in Crete located at an altitude around 900 m above the sea level, visit old traditional villages where time seems to have stopped long ago , visit an olive oil factory where we learn how olive oil is made now and how used to be made with the old machines,taste different local olive oil , visit Krasi village where the oldest plane tree in Crete is located, visit old wind mills that where used to grain corn and wheat to make flour, visit the other old wind mills that were used to pump the water up to water the crops and of course the Cave where Zeus was born .( I hope Zeus will be there when we visit him because last time I visited he had gone to the Olympus mountain, you never know though) and last but probably the most important archeological site in Crete Knossos Palace and Archaeological Museum where you can travel back in time. then enjoy a Cretan traditional lunch accompanied with local wine, then filled with memories , new experiences and making new friends we start our ride to get back to where we started.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
To get to the cave there is a 15 min walking up hill and then around 200 steps to explore the cave .
There is a possibility of getting a donkey ride up hill if you don’t like walking,
Getting to the cave is optional, instead we can visit a beautiful Mythology thematic park or enjoy a coffee or fresh juice at one of the many restaurants that are there .
